The First Challenge

As Summer heads towards its conclusion, and the hell storm that is higher education approaches, I can't help but feel that there should be just enough time for me to add one more game to the Hall.

However, my backlog of games is quite daunting. I think I've narrowed it down to a final four but I could really use some help. Here's what I've got:

Super Metroid was an awesome adventure/rpg/platforming sequel to the original Metroid of the NES. Utilizing the new fangled bad assery of the 16-bit Super Nintendo, it delivered an epic experience unparalleled by any other game; even to this day. Or so I've been told...

I admit, I'm kind of cheating with this one. I've actually already started it, as of last Summer. But by the time last August rolled around I was just really burnt out on it. Now that ACIII is on the horizon (October 30), I feel it behooves me to at least try to finish off it's numbered predecessor.

I really don't know anything about this game, other than it comes after Mega Man 2, and before Mega Man 4. I beat the first two games via an emulator. They were exceptionally difficult, and as such I pussied out and used save states to beat them (thus, the * in the Hall). The truth is, I really just want to play 9 & 10 which came out recently for PSN. But for whatever damned reason (obsessive compulsive disorder?) I really want to play them in order. I did the same thing for the Metal Gear series and it was totally worth it. Not sure if the same applies to the Blue Bomber...

Yeah, the picture sucks, but I'm too lazy to find a better one. Killer Instinct is one of those games I remember playing at a friends house and being instantly hooked. My mother was a total violence-adverse nut, thinking anything slightly machismo-y (even Power Rangers) would turn me into Charles Manson. So, to sneak away and see the blood fly on the SNES was a great escape. I never got any good at it, and the best my friend and I could do was beat each other senseless. The 1P ladder was just too much for our small, second-grader minds.

So, with that said, help me figure out what to play next. Vote!

What game should I complete next?
