The 'Millenium of Final Fantasy' continues! After months of playing in tandem with my good buddy Max, Final Fantasy VIII is in the books with about 65+ hours of play -- and SO MUCH TRIPLE TRIAD. There's a lot to say about this game, but I believe Max will be posting a more comprehensive retrospective here shortly, so look out for that real soon!

What I will say is this game isn't my favorite RPG, but it's not as bad (or amazing) as I had been led to believe. It's just OK. And that's OK! The GFs were fun to hunt down, and the story was much more coherent (if not as memorable) than FFVII's.

Regardless, I'm happy to have played it to completion and I look forward to starting up on FFIX real soon.
